Safe Use of Harnesses
The primary objective of the Safe Use of Harnesses course is to provide delegates who need / may have a need to use harness with a good understanding of the safety requirements, the current legislation and any dangers associated with the use of a safety harness and lanyards. This Safe Use of Harnesses course will enable delegates to be fully competent when working at height, ensuring the safe selection, correct use and inspection (but not maintenance) of harnesses and lanyards.

Facilitated through one of our IPAF accredited associates this course covers 3 of the main units, Unit 3a - Scissor Lift, Unit 3b - Self Propelled Boomlift & Unit 1b - Trailer Mounted and is Ideal for those who potentially uses, supervises or manages the use such equipment. The course provides a combination blend of classroom-based theory and hands-on experience for either of the above units only, giving individuals an awareness of the legal implications, common hazards and precautions, together with the correct driving, use, inspection, elevating and lowering procedures for the chosen MEWP. Successful completion of the course will result in the issue of an IPAF certificate and PAL (Powered Access) card. This course is held at our dedicated centre in Daventry, Northants or onsite at client premises.
All delegates must be able to certify that they are physically fit and have no medical conditions that might prevent them working at height.
